Paul Update Dec. 16-29

Controversially, Paul received a $500 donation from a white supremacist on the 19th.  His rep announced that, "Dr. Paul stands for freedom, peace, prosperity and inalienable rights. If someone with small ideologies happens to contribute money to Ron, thinking he can influence Ron in any way, he's wasted his money...Ron is going to take the money and try to spread the message of freedom."  Furthermore, on the 26th, Paul released a new television ad entitled "Defender of Freedom," then on the 29th he released an ad on Immigration.   Furthermore, after Paul's landmark $6 million day (the 16th), Paul has continued to surge in fundraising and now totals over $18,800,000.  In addition, Ron Paul has received over 200 endorsements from veterans, making him the leading candidate of active and retired military officers of both Democrat and Republican candidates.  Evidence of Paul's young following: a new music video supporting Paul was uploaded on YouTube by rappers Rise, Consise, and Krookid. Shockingly, despite Paul's popularity, it is apparent that Fox News has excluded Dr. Paul from an upcoming Republican forum to be aired on January 6th; even though Paul has ranked higher in New Hampshire polls than other candidates who were invited. With the Iowa Caucus coming up on January 3rd, Paul seems to be just behind Rudy Guiliani; based on the latest CNN Iowa State poll, Paul has risen to 10% just behind Guiliani's 14%.

Ron Paul Upsate Dec. 10-16

On December 10th Paul participated in a debate at the University of Miami to address Spanish speaking voters. he was greeted warmly by the Hispanic audience in which he told them about opposing a national ID card and the best thing for hispanics to do right now is to join him in restoring the Constitution in our country. Paul released a new health care ad that is committed to giving Americans the power to take control of their health care choices by stopping pharmaceutical interests, powerful insurance companies and government bureaucrats from interfering with doctor-patient decisions. Exciting news happened when ron Paul turned in over 20,000 signatures to gurantee a place in the Feb. 12th GOP primary ballot. He turned in 5,000 more than Mitt Romney did and double the amount needed to turn in.
As of today Ron Paul has surpassed his $12 million mark for the fourth quarter two weeks earlier than he expected and is at over $14.8 million raised. Over 15,000 supporters have donated over $1.9 million in one day. He has raised money from over a 100,000 supporters in the fourth quarter. If he does not get the republican nomination could we see Paul running as a third party memeber if he has all this money?

Paul Update Dec. 3-9

On December 3rd, Ron Paul released a message to his supporters regarding the CNN/YouTube Debate on his website, saying McCain's attack was planned and that "mainstream politicians NEVER attack an opponent they think is far behind."   He also mentioned that subsequent to the debate Rudy Guiliani said to him, "Oooh, you sure have a LOT of supporters."  When leaving the debate Ron Paul was by far greeted with the most supporters, with "about 500 enthusiastic revolutionaries, plus a boat, a trolley, and two planes towing lighted signs," while Mitt Romney, the only candidate to have any, had just a few people.  Furthermore, on the same day, Paul also received Barry Goldwater Jr.'s (also a good friend) video endorsement.
Paul continues to surge in fundraising and in the polls.  He has doubled his third quarter total and raised over $10,800,000, beating Mitt Romney's third quarter fundraising total of $9,896,719 and Guiliani's third quarter fundraising total of $10,258,019.  Also, Ron Paul's Facebook group, "Students for Ron Paul," has exceeded 50,000 members, surpassing every other candidate's.  While a new group was formed, "Academics for Ron Paul," which contains professors from many National Universities who have decided to endorse Paul in his campaign.
On the 7th, Paul had an interview with Fox Business and Newsweek.  This weekended, Paul continued his campaign trail in Upstate South Carolina and then traveled to Miami, Florida for the Univision Debate.

Ron Paul Nov 25-Dec 2 On the Rise

Ron Paul is on the rise. Released on November 30th, Paul has surpassed opponent Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney in third quarter fundraising total. With over one month left in the fourth quarter, Paul has raised over $10.5 million and expected to pass his goal of the $12 million mark. After the CNN/YOUTube debate on November 29, Paul received 47% of CNN voters out of 30,000 voters believing he was the clear winner of the debate; he was followed by Mick Huckabee with 23% of the vote.
Ron Paul had an interview with Wolf Blitzer about being called an “isolationist” by McCain during the debate on Thursday and Paul responded, “Isolationism isn’t what I advocate, I advocate non intervention, not getting involved in the internal affairs of other nations” and “not pretending that a country like Iraq is equivalent to NAZI Germany. Iraq had no navy and no weapons of mass destruction, and had nothing to do with 911.” While this proves to be a great solution, since he is running under the Republican ticket, how will Republicans feel about him not supporting the Iraq War? Will that cause them not to vote for him for fear of him not supporting our country?
Surprisingly, Paul won on December 2 in an informal straw poll in Virginia beating leader Thompson by 70 votes. Not to mention Paul is at 7% in the Iowa polls now. His ethanol subsidy and no war strategy is gaining support among Republicans. Also, Paul rose up to 6% from 1% in South Carolina poll now trailing Giuliani for fifth place.
This Ron Paul mania is sweeping the nation, don’t be the last one to join his campaign and help him meet his $12 million mark!

Paul's Weekly Update (Nov. 19-24)

Congressman Paul continues to rise in the polls; the CNN/WMUR poll on Monday demonstrated that Paul rose to fourth place in New Hampshire, above candidate Fred Thompson.  Simultaneously with his rise in polls, Paul also continues to rise in fundraising gains.  In a television interview (Political Capital with Al Hunt) on Friday, Paul asserted that he expects to surpass his $12 million goal in the fourth quarter.  Already, Paul has not hesitated to begin spending his influx in campaign money, spending it in New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina, and Nevada. Furthermore, on the 23rd a supporter of Paul generously spent $85,000 to have a supportive article of the candidate appear in USA Today’s front-page.  Paul also spent time on Sunday, November 19th rallying with over two hundred University of Iowa students.  Despite his overwhelming growth in support, Congressman Paul was also chosen as one of GQ magazine’s “Men of the Year.”  He was named the "Dark Horse of the Year," and was the only presidential candidate that GQ honored.  The issue will be released this Tuesday, November 27th.  Next week, Paul will be continuing his campaign in South Carolina and will finish the week off at the Florida Democratic Debate on November 28th.

During the first week of November, Ron Paul has been busy on the road raising money and impressing the country with his overwhelming popularity. Paul spoke on November 9th at the University of New Hampshire; Paul's message of freedom and liberty resonated well with a predominantly young crowd that can't have enough freedom and liberty. He is rising in the polls as seen in New Hampshire poll with an increasing 6%. I am sure many of you have seen the Revolution 2008 Ron Paul signs that have proved to be influential in his support. Paul just announced his fourth quarter numbers on November 5th raising approximately 5.1 million dollars which should rival such candidates as John McCain and raising over 4.3 million dollars in one day. His website shows his money support at over 8.5 million dollars as of today and challanges his contributors to get him over the 12 million dollar mark. At his Independence Mall rally on November 10 in Pennsylvania attracted over 5000 supporters and he was recently, on November 5th, endorsed by the students at MIT University. He spoke to an Iowa radio station about his new popularity and his new message of freedom, constitutional idea and money policies. Other than that, Ron Paul has been making big waves with his little campaign. He continues to go onto discussions and talks around the country raising enormous amounts of money.
