Ron Paul Upsate Dec. 10-16

On December 10th Paul participated in a debate at the University of Miami to address Spanish speaking voters. he was greeted warmly by the Hispanic audience in which he told them about opposing a national ID card and the best thing for hispanics to do right now is to join him in restoring the Constitution in our country. Paul released a new health care ad that is committed to giving Americans the power to take control of their health care choices by stopping pharmaceutical interests, powerful insurance companies and government bureaucrats from interfering with doctor-patient decisions. Exciting news happened when ron Paul turned in over 20,000 signatures to gurantee a place in the Feb. 12th GOP primary ballot. He turned in 5,000 more than Mitt Romney did and double the amount needed to turn in.
As of today Ron Paul has surpassed his $12 million mark for the fourth quarter two weeks earlier than he expected and is at over $14.8 million raised. Over 15,000 supporters have donated over $1.9 million in one day. He has raised money from over a 100,000 supporters in the fourth quarter. If he does not get the republican nomination could we see Paul running as a third party memeber if he has all this money?

I heard a news story on NPR about Ron Paul's fundraising efforts. Like you said, he will probably be the GOP's top fundraiser for the quarter, but he also broke a record. The 6 million he raised in online contributions is more than any presidential candidate of either party in history. This was surprising to me, as I wasn't sure how many younger people Paul was attracting. Looking at these numbers though, it seems as though his base is much younger than one might have thought.

Yeah I have seen signs around San Diego supporting Ron Paul as well. Seems like he has been getting a lot of support lately, but that it may end up being too late for him. Where has he been spending the majority of his time campaigning? Has he been traveling all around, or is Iowa or New Hampshire of great importance to him? But i'm really impressed with his ability to rack up all this money recently, and the amount he made in one day is amazing.
