Despite John McCain's nominee for the republican party, Ron Paul seems to be continuing his vain campaign and refuses to endorse McCain. Instead, when we thought that this year could not get any stranger, Paul has be rumored to endorse Libertarian candidate Representative Bob Barr of Georgia. The 72-year-old Paul's campaign -- he's the only survivor beyond McCain of 11 Republicans from last year -- surprised many political observers with its financial potency. Some 800,000 eager and energetic voters, many of them new to politics, have given him in excess of $32 million in the last year, nearly $20 million of it in the last quarter of 2007, to make him the largest GOP fundraiser then. They developed a whole range of creative ideas to arouse political support, including a pinup calendar of nearly naked hotties4RonPaul (you should check this out haha jk).
In other stanger news, Paul has finished filming a science fiction movie in Japan, according to Liberty Sci-Fi Magazine. The movie "Release the Karaken" is part of the Japanese Monster Movie genre of films, in which giant creatures attack Japanese cities. A Japanese film maker sent Paul a screenplay earlier this year, and the Republican Congressman liked it so much he decided to wind down his presidential bid last month so he could star in it. On a side note I am not sure if this is real, but it was too funny and wierd to keep out of this post.
While Ron Paul continues to stay in the race he is campaigning in Pennslyvannia and not many people have continued to support him financially. I think he should start thinking of dropping out!
